LIFE INSURANCE SAVINGS MANAGES 183,000 MILLION IN THE FIRST HALF, UP 4% IN 2010

A June 30, 2011, the life insurance managed savings in the amount of 183,000 million euros as from the first half of 2011, representing an increase of 4% over the same period last year and so far year, the managed savings grew 2.51%.

According to the Security Industry Association ( Unespa ) of this amount, 150.353 million euros are saving customers and 33,450 million to pension plans managed by insurance companies. The total number of policyholders and shareholders have grown 1.85% in this period to 37.8 million.

The PIAS , Systematic Individual Savings Plan , already exceed the 2.537 million euros in managed savings, an increase of 19.9% ​​since January, while the Insured Pension Plans ( PPPs ), social security systems that are characterized by ensure profitability and using actuarial techniques, have increased by 17.48%, registering a managed savings of 7.321 million euros.
